Three Weeks Left for Hall of Leadership Nominations

Has a Scout, leader, or other Scouting volunteer made a significant difference at some time in your life, or the lives of others, by the extraordinary service they have given and the Scouting virtues they have modeled? You can thank and recognize them with a nomination to the BSA 100th Anniversary National Hall of Leadership.

There are only THREE WEEKS left to nominate someone. Don't be the person that wonders why a particular volunteer wasn't nominated.

National Hall of Leadership Deadline Approaching

The National Hall of Leadership deadline for nominations is approaching, Feb. 8.  We have had some submissions by not nearly enough when you consider the number of active people in our council.  If you have a story of how someone demonstrated leadership please share the story by going to the website at  ww2.scouting.org/100years/100years/NationalHallofLeadership.aspx and submit a nomination for that person.  We only have until Feb. 4.

National Hall of Leadership

The National Hall of Leadership is a one-time opportunity for our council to nominate 12 individuals within Blackhawk Area Council to be considered for induction into the National Hall of Leadership. We all have a story about someone in our past or present that has done something that impressed you with the leadership demonstrated. Take a few minutes to write that story down and nominate that person for consideration. We have already begun receiving nominations and look forward to receiving a lot before the end of the nomination period. To be nominated the person must be living, 13 years of age or older, and must have served as a registered Scout or volunteer Scouter at some time. Full requirements are on the web site. A statement explaining the reason for your nomination is to be included. I'd suggest writing it out first and then pasting it into the nomination form. Don’t wait, file your nomination today.
